Historical Inscription at Adi Kumbeswarar Temple, Kumbakonam: This inscription records the association of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham with the Adi Kumbeswarar Temple during 1783–1800 CE. It also documents the establishment of the Sri Somasakanda shrine and the construction of its Artha Mandapa, Maha Mandapa and related structures around 1800 CE, highlighting the historical contribution of the Kanchi shankaracharyas to the temple complex.
