On the occasion of World Elephant Day, school students visited the elephant-care facility maintained by the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham at Enathur in Kanchipuram.
The students had an opportunity to see the elephants being cared for in a natural environment and learned about their daily care and maintenance. The facility currently houses three elephants, which are being specially cared for in a suitable natural setting.
The visit provided the students with an opportunity to observe the elephants closely and understand the importance of elephant conservation and welfare. The students expressed their happiness and enthusiasm after witnessing the elephants and learning about their care.
